North Lake Cowboys Can't Tame the Paisley Broncos for Second Week in a Row!
On Tuesday the 31st of January, the Paisley Broncos went on the road to beat the North Lake Cowboys 46-39. This was their second victory over the Cowboys in two weeks and puts their record at 5-10. With the stands packed, the Broncos raced onto the court amid applause and cheers. From the tip, the Broncos came to play; they scored 17 in the first quarter compared to the Cowboys' nine points and at halftime the Broncos were up by 14. Freshman Aiden Thane lead the team in scoring with 15 points by the third quarter where he was taken out due to asthma, and returned late in the 4th quarter to score another five points and cinch the win for Paisley.
"They played real well tonight. They have another three games this week starting Thursday and I only hope they don't get burnt out against these teams with more players than us," commented Assistant Coach Jack O'Leary.
"We shouldn't have any trouble at all with the games this weekend. We just need to get some rest and come ready to run," said Junior and Captain Bryton Thane. He lead the team in rebounds with 17, 3 blocks, and 10 steals. "I'm happy we won tonight. Aiden and Noah played well and I had a good game so I'm happy," he said when asked about how the team preformed.
Paisley face off against Central Christian away on Thursday, and stay at home against Prospect and Trinity Lutheran on Friday and Saturday.
